At CDC, we also go to great lengths to help parents find a way through the thorny issues of childhood and parenting beyond the school. This page lists our occasional Parenting Series as well as special talks and events; beside that is a guide to resources that may also be of help.

Events

CDC Parenting Series: Communication and Empathetic yet Disciplined Child-Rearing Techniques
featuring CDC's Beth MeLampy.

For a full description of the series, click here.

  • Each evening has a different focus, but will still be free ranging. The general topics will be: alternatives to punishment, active listening, engaging cooperation and new this year: empathetic responses paired with consistent consequences.
