About Our Camp

This year, there will be 2 CDC Camp locations!

CDC Summer Camp for younger children only (post-young 5s through post-kindergarten*), will take place at CDC Forest: 4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd Ann Arbor.

CDC's original Summer Camp remains at Clonlara and is for children post kindergarten - post 5th grade*. Clonlara is at 1289 Jewett Ave Ann Arbor.

*Children who have completed kindergarten, can select to attend either camp location.

A typical week at CDC Camp centers around a theme, planned activities, swimming, and weekly field trips,  Children are encouraged to participate in the planning in order to accommodate their individual and group interests. The camp day is a mix of counselor directed and child-initiated activities.

Each year, one of our biggest events is our overnight family camp out. Our evening is filled with activities such as adults vs kids capture the flag, a potluck style dinner with camp fire roasted hot dogs, and a game of find the counselors in the dark.

Note: During the last week of camp (August 5-9), the campers from Clonlara will be spending the week at CDC Forest for a special field trip week. Due to the additional expenses of daily field trips, tuition rates will be increased and we are unable to offer half day schedules.

Enrollment and Tuition

CDC is conscious of the racial disparities and inequitable practices across all layers of our society and our unique positions of impact and reach as early childhood educators. We have a responsibility to ensure that all children and families, including those from historically marginalized groups, have equitable access and a sense of inclusion and belonging in our programs.

Priority is given to families that have been historically excluded from access to childcare. Registrations are not accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. In the case it is needed, a lottery will be conducted for remaining spaces by age/group.

The Camp enrollment dates for summer 2024:

    • 2/1/2024: Camp enrollment information released to families
    • 2/15/2024: Enrollment opens.
