Summer Camp

CDC Forest

4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

Community Day Camp will be open again this summer for children post kindergarten through pre-sixth grade.

We are happy to announce that camp will be at our CDC Forest Location this summer. This is a wonderful building with lots of natural light, 40 acres of trails, and a playground.  It is also the location of on of CDC’s preschool programs.

In year’s past, a typical week at our camp would center around a centralized theme, and a corresponding field trip each week.  This year we will continue on with our incredibly fun camp themes, but in the interest of safety, we will not be bussing groups of campers to field trips.  We do have an amazing opportunity to have field trips visit us!

Information about the whole summer can be found here.

Pending changes in the number of cases, and the trend in cases of COVID-19, we will consider small group field trips.  There is never an additional charge for these opportunities.  All of our fun is all rolled into one and we can't wait for you to join us!

Registration for camp is offered by the week or by the day, with a minimum of 2 days which must occur in the same week.  Priority is given to requests for full-time schedules, then to full-day/partial-week applications, and thirdly to morning-only/full week schedules; beyond that, remaining slots will be offered to part-time morning only applicants. Registration is completed all online through EZ Child Track. Enrollment is limited to 52 children per day. In order to receive your confirmation by May 1st, please submit your Camp Enrollment Form and registration fee by the date indicated on the enrollment form.

Scheduling Options

As a service to our families, we will continue to offer a morning only program at camp. Morning only campers will be able to participate in a wide range of activities with the all day campers including: choice time, group time, interest areas, and Fun Friday activities. Families who choose this option can drop off as early as 8:00AM and pick up no later than 12:30PM. Morning only campers will be picked up before lunch. To ensure that we are able to accommodate as many families as possible, scheduling priority will be given to all day campers.

Payment: Camp is divided into three sessions, and payment for your child’s enrollment in each session is due on the first day of that session. See the enrollment form and parents’ materials for the current payment schedule.

Scholarship Information

As part of CDC’s mission, we offer financial assistance to families who qualify. Scholarships are limited, and are approved by the board of directors scholarship committee.

You must be employed and/or enrolled in school or a job training program (includes local community colleges, technical programs, high school completion, etc.). Undergraduate students with a proven history of low-income attending four-year academic institutions may be eligible. Graduate students are not eligible. You must contact your local Department of Human Services (DHS) to determine your eligibility for their Child Daycare Program as well as Child Care Network (CCN).

Scholarship award amounts will depend upon each applicant’s childcare schedule and fees. Scholarships are designed to pay a portion of the total childcare cost for each child. The parent(s) is expected to pay the remaining portion. A payment must be received prior to awarding the scholarship. Scholarships are paid out every three months to ensure all families have equal opportunity to apply. A reduction of childcare hours will reflect a change in the scholarship awarded. If a family is three (3) months in arrears, attendance will be discontinued until the past due payment is made.
