About Us
At Community Day Care, we prioritize community, inclusivity, and high-quality care for every child.
Our Story
Community Day Care is a nonprofit organization that offers high quality preschool, summer camp, and before- and after-school programs for kids ages 2 to 12. “Community” is at the heart of everything we do. Together, with our families, local organizations, and highly skilled teachers, we create safe, supportive spaces where kids can play, explore, learn, and grow. Community Day Care is a place where everyone is valued and can thrive.
We operate two preschools and summer camps on the Southwest and East sides of Ann Arbor and before- and after-school programs, also known as our “Kids Clubs,” at two Ann Arbor Public Schools. More than 450 families enroll their children in our programs every year.
We intentionally designed all of our programs to celebrate diversity and foster inclusivity, which includes recruitment and enrollment. To cultivate an environment that honors differences, promotes understanding, and prepares children to thrive in a diverse world.
We do this because we believe that child care is a basic need. When high quality child care is accessible, all families can flourish — because every child deserves a strong start in life.
